আমার এলাকার প্রধান প্রধান ফসলগুলাের নাম হলােঃ
১) ধান
২) গম
৩) আলু
নিম্নে আমার এলাকায় উক্ত ফসলগুলাে চাষের কারণ উল্লেখ করা হলাে:
- আমাদের এলাকার মাটি দোআঁশ ও পলি দোআঁশ প্রকৃতির তবে কিছু কিছু এলাকায় বেলে দোআঁশ মাটি রয়েছে। আমরা জানি দোআঁশ মাটিতে প্রায় সব রকমের ফসল ভালাে ফলে। দোআঁশ ফসল উৎপাদনের আদর্শ মাটি।
- আমরা জানি , কংকর ও বেলে- মাটি ছাড়া সব মাটি ধান চাষের উপযােগী। বিশেষ করে এটেল ও এটেল দোআঁশ মাটিতে ধান ভাল জন্মে।প্রকারভেদে উঁচু মাঝারি নিচু সব ধরনের জমিতে ধান চাষ করা যায়। তাই আমার এলাকার মাটি ধান চাষের জন্য উপযােগী।
- দোআঁশ বা বেলে দোআঁশ মাটি গম চাষের জন্য উপযুক্ত তবে এঁটেল দোআঁশ মাটিতে ও গমের চাষ হয়। আমার এলাকার মাটি যেহেতু দোআঁশ মাটি সেহেতু এটি গম চাষের জন্য উপযােগী।
- দোআঁশ ও বেলে দোআঁশ মাটি আলু উৎপাদনের জন্য বেশ উপযােগী। আলু চাষের জমিতে প্রচুর পরিমাণে জৈব পদার্থ থাকা দরকার যা আমাদের এলাকার মাটিতে প্রচুর পরিমাণে রয়েছে তাই আমাদের এলাকার মাটি আলু চাষের জন্য উপযােগী।
ধান চাষের জন্য জমি প্রস্তুতি
চার থেকে পাঁচটি আড়াআড়ি চাষ ও মই দিয়ে জমি ভালােভাবে কাদাময় ও সমান করে নিতে হবে।এক্ষেত্রে কোদাল দিয়ে জমির চারিদিকে হেঁটে দিতে হবে।
গম চাষের জন্য জমি প্রস্তুতকরণ
গম রবি শস্য।বর্ষার মৌসুম শেষ হওয়ার পর মধ্য কার্তিক থেকে মধ্য অগ্রাহায়ন পর্যন্ত গম চাষের উপযুক্ত সময়। মাটির জো দেখে জমিতে লাঙ্গল চালনা করা হয়। গমের মাটি ঝুরঝুরা করে প্রস্তুত করা প্রয়ােজন। এজন্য তিন থেকে চারবার আড়াআড়ি জমি চাষ দিয়ে বারকয়েক মই দিয়ে মাটি ঝুরঝুরা করতে হয়। জমিতে যাতে কোনাে বড় ডেলা না থাকে সেদিকে লক্ষ্য রাখতে হবে। গমের জন্য দোযাশ বা বেলে দো-আঁশ মাটি উপযুক্ত। এ মাটি সহজেই ঝুরঝুরা হয়।পাওয়ার ট্রিলার এর সাথে রটোভেটর সংযােগ করে জমি চাষ দিলে মাটি ভালাে চাষ হয় এবং একই সাথে মই দেওয়া হয়। ঝুরঝুরা মাটি গমের অঙ্কুরােদগমের জন্য খুবই উপযােগী।
আলু চাষের জন্য জমি প্রস্তুতি
নিচু এলাকায় বর্ষার পানি নেমে গেলে বা উঁচু এলাকায় আশ্বিন মাস হতে আলু চাষের জন্য জমি প্রস্তুতির কাজ শুরু করা হয়। সাধারণত দো-আঁশ ও বেলে দো-আঁশ মাটিতে আলু চাষ করা হয় আলুর জমি পাঁচ থেকে ছয় বার চাষ ও মই দিয়ে মাটি ঝুরঝুরা করে জমি প্রস্তুত করা হয়।আজকাল পাওয়ার টিলার দ্বারা চাষ করা হয় বলে তিন থেকে চারবার আড়াআড়ি চাষ দিলেই ঝুরঝুরা হয় এবং সমান করা হয়।

Land preparation for paddy cultivation The

Land preparation for wheat cultivation

Wheat soil needs to be prepared by grinding. For this, one has to cultivate the land three to four times and scrape the soil with several ladders. If the land is cultivated by attaching a rotavator with a power trailer, the soil is cultivated well and a ladder is given at the same time. The loamy soil is very suitable for germination of wheat.
